Amy + Jim :: Married

Oh how I love an autumn barn wedding! :)
Here's a few photos of one couples big day in Farmington.
The weather was dismal all week right up until it was almost go time.
It was a fun crew in an awesome location.  They really did a great job turning their barn into a fantastic venue.

Roller Derby :: Home Season

The last couple bouts of the RCRD home season were the November Knockout and Scar Wars.
Here are a few photos from those two events.  More can always be found over on my derby page.

And the name had "knockout" in it for a reason!

I love the dome for roller derby, though no two lights are the same color, it's
the best ambiance for this kind of event!

I loved photographing the Rottenchester this season!

Hope to see you at the next bout!

Jamie + Bryan :: Engaged

I met this awesome couple at the gazebo where he proposed,
along the south shore of the Great Lake Ontario.
From there, we headed to the Charlotte Beach State Park.
All the while being chased by a thunderstorm :)

Here's just a few of the many photos we got that fun Sunday afternoon!

You really can't beat the autumn foliage here in Rochester.

And since we were at the beach, we had to actually make use of it before the storm rolled in!
We snuck into a spot where there wasn't snow fence already positioned :)

Mary Anne + Matt :: Married

The beautiful outdoor ceremony was held at the Salmon Creek Country Club in Spencerport NY.
They have such a wonderful gazebo setting, perfect for outdoor weddings.
The reception was held at the groom's parents house in Gasport, and man did they know how to throw a great party.
Another perfect venue, with some awesome one-of-a-kind personal touches.

Here is the beautiful couple in front of the farm house:
And here begins the ceremony:

I loved the colors of this bridal party, here in a yard that backs up to the canal:

And since the details can always make a wedding, there was no shortage here:

Roller Derby :: Enter the Beast

In September there was a big home team RCRD round-robin bout at the dome.
Enter the Beast!  It was an excellent battle, here is just a taste of some of the action:

My entire gallery from this bout can be found here too:

Christol + Shaun :: Married

Heather and I headed out to Central NY to shoot the wedding day of this lovely couple last August.

The ceremony was held at the wonderful People's A.M.E. Zion Church in Syracuse:

They had reserved Thornden Park in case the weather cooperated after the ceremony,
and sure enough it did.

The reception was at the Craftsman Inn, and what a great venue that place is.

Alex :: Senior 2013

I don't typically photograph a ton of seniors, but I love it when I do!

Here is Alex at the Greece Canal Park.  I like to do these at sunset when possible, and we cut this one a little close!  Ended up running out of sunlight sooner than I would have liked, but not after getting a ton of great photos for her yearbook :)

Carlos :: Daddy's girls

Heather and I had the opportunity to work with Carlos and his three girls up at Webster Park this past summer.
We decided to take advantage of the waterfront on this beautiful Sunday afternoon, and I think we got a few good ones:

Aren't they just the cutest?!

Kristina + Chuck :: Wedding

Heather and I got to photograph our friends Kristina and Chuck and their big day this past July.
Their wedding took place in their beautiful park-like backyard and it couldn't have been any more beautiful.
The weather almost didn't cooperate, and though it did manage to ruin some decorations the morning of,
it stopped raining by the time they walking down the aisle!

We just loved all the details of the day, there were way too many to even put up here!

Kristina is a world-class roller derby player, and Chuck is quite the sportsman.
The cake toppers were made by another important member of the local roller derby community!

Congrats you two!  You are such a great couple and have such a wonderful family!
